Orbital Twitter Traffic Explorer and Repeater
Orbital Twitter Traffic Explorer and Repeater is a (fictional) citizen science device mounted to the International Space Station. OTTER monitors Twitter traffic in realtime within a 50 mile radius of the station's exact coordinates. OTTER’s mission is to provide a continuous, unbiased filter of the global conversation. OTTER was developed at a point in history where Twitter bots were making headline news for spreading misinformation; a secondary project goal was to demonstrate how automated social media accounts can inspire people to think beyond their filter bubbles.
